WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, May 29, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — West Valley City police  are searching for a suspect after an armed robbery at a Metro PCS store May 5.

“We got called out to the Metro PCS store at 2510 S. 4400 West after a man came in the store, threatened an employee with a gun and demanded money and cellphones,” said a Facebook post from West Valley City Police Department. “The employee reported that the suspect pushed her and choked her, then stole dozens of cellphones and cash and took off.”

The suspect is described as black, 6 feet tall or taller, wearing a black hoodie, a black bandanna as a mask, blue surgical gloves, gray sweatpants with orange boxers showing, and white high-top shoes with black accents.

“The suspect used a large white and navy blue purse or diaper bag to load stolen items,” the post said.

Anyone who has information on the suspect or the crime is asked to call the WVCPD on 801-840-4000. Tips can be made anonymously. The case number is 19i008147.
