OGDEN, Utah, July 11, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Ogden’s Mountain Road Fire is 60% contained, according to a Saturday afternoon update from Utah Fire Info.
The fire was estimated at 18 acres Saturday morning, and the acreage did not increase after that announcement.
“Sixty firefighters, Logan Hotshots, and Weber Basin crews are working the fire. A Type 1 helicopter cooled hot spots as crews battle steep, rocky terrain and extreme heat,” the 3:40 p.m. Saturday update says.
A Saturday morning Utah Fire Info post said firefighters had worked through the night.
“Firefighters will continue to secure the perimeter of the fire line through the day. Structures are threatened, but structure protection is in place.”

The public is asked to stay away from the area and off nearby trails. Flying drones is prohibited.
The fire is believed to be human caused.
