WEBER COUNTY, Utah, May 7, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Authorities in Weber County say the body found in Pineview Reservoir Saturday was that of 44-year-old Ogden resident Jason Sullivan.
Officials were called to the area at about 10:45 a.m. after a boater reported seeing a body floating face down near the Port Ramp dock area on the westside of the lake. The Weber County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team was in the area on an unrelated assignment and recovered Sullivan’s body.
Weber County Sheriff’s officials are not sure what caused Sullivan’s death or why he was at Pineview.
An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday.
Weber County Sheriff’s Sgt. Matt Jensen told reporters on Saturday that there were no obvious signs of trauma to the body, and foul play is not suspected.
