Jenny McCarthy Shows Off Hot-Pink Hair on ‘Today’
NEW YORK, July 14 (UPI) — Model and television personality Jenny McCarthy says she woke up and “felt pink,” thus explaining her shocking magenta hairstyle.
On Tuesday’s episode of the “Today” show, McCarthy explains that she dyed her hair that morning, before coming on set.
“This is something I’ve wanted to do forever, but I’ve always been told by networks and bosses, ‘Don’t do it,'” she told hosts Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford of her decision to go pink. “But you know what, before I get 80 — like Barbara Walters isn’t going to dye her hair this color! I’m still at that age where I can get away with it for maybe a month.”
McCarthy shared a teasing Instagram photo of her new hot pink locks just before debuting it on the “Today” show.
She wrote “No #DSF on @siriusxm today. Tune into the @todayshow with @klgandhoda though. I’ve got something to show you!”
The star of A&E’s “Donnie Loves Jenny,” 42, said that husband Donnie Wahlberg approves. “I showed him this morning quickly and he’s like, ‘You look beautiful.'”
“We are very, very much in love,” she went on. “We really are addicted to each other.”
McCarthy, revealed another special glimpse into their highly romantic lifestyle: she and her husband of almost two years “FaceTime Sleep” when either of them are on the road.
“He’s on the pillow — I sleep and I hear him snore. And we sleep that way on the road,” she said, before introducing Wahlberg, 45, on the show via the iPhone app.
