NEW YORK, Dec. 30 (UPI) — Responding to criticism about a necklace made of bullets, the spokeswoman for Donald Trump’s presidential campaign responded “maybe I’ll wear a fetus next time.”
Katrina Pierson, the national spokeswoman for Trump’s campaign, was criticized on Twitter Wednesday for wearing a necklace made out of bullets in an appearance on CNN’s The Lead.
In response, Pierson tweeted: “Maybe I’ll wear a fetus next time & bring awareness to 50 million aborted people that will never get to be on Twitter.” In another tweet, she described the criticism as “sexist.”
Pierson is not new to backlash. In an interview on CNN earlier this month, she responded to criticisms of Trump’s plan to ban Muslims from entering the United States with: “So what? They’re Muslim.”
