LOS ANGELES, June 9 (UPI) — Actor Bruce Campbell used Twitter to correct a photo sparking outrage on social media that is said to be a bloodied Donald Trump supporter.
Campbell made it clear the photo is actually a makeup test shot from his show “Ash vs. The Evil Dead.” The so-called Trump supporter is an actress from the show named Samara Weaving. She originally posted the photo to her Instagram and Twitter accounts in January.
The photo had picked up steam on social media as a supposed Trump supporter who was beaten up by liberal protesters at a Trump rally.
“Check your facts, folks. This is an actress named Samara Weaving from #AshVsEvilDead. This is a makeup test. Sad,” Campbell tweeted.
Some might have believed the photo to be accurate due to clashes between Trump supporters and protesters have been clashing at rallies around the country.
