May 1 (UPI) — Dad of two Ashton Kutcher says daughter Wyatt loves her brother “so much.”
The 39-year-old actor said on Monday’s episode of The “Ellen DeGeneres Show” that Wyatt, his 2-year-old daughter with wife Mila Kunis, thinks 5-month-old brother Dimitri is “her baby.”
“Wyatt thinks the baby is her baby, and at some point I’m going to have to explain to her it’s not really her baby. I don’t know how I’m going to do that,” Kutcher told DeGeneres.
“She loves the baby so much,” he added. “It’s like ‘Of Mice and Men.’ She’s like, ‘I love you and hold you and squeeze you and name you George.’ I’m afraid she’s like Lenny, like, ‘You’re going to squeeze the baby’s head off, honey!'”
Kutcher said Wyatt’s affections have proven to be too much for Dimitri at times.
Dimitri “loves everyone. Anyone comes near him and he’s like, ‘Hi!’ But when Wyatt comes near him, he’s like Kung Fu Panda when she comes near because he’s afraid she’s going to kill him,” he said.
“I went through a phase where I had to keep Wyatt alive, and then I went through a phase where I had to keep her from killing herself, and now I’m going through a phase where I have to keep her from killing the other baby,” the star joked.
Kutcher and Kunis married in 2015 after three years of dating, and welcomed Dimitri in November. The actor gushed about his family while accepting the 2017 Robert D. Ray Pillar of Character Award in April.
“When my wife and I had these kids and we got to share that amazing, amazing, amazing honor, my first response was, I wanted to call my parents and say, ‘I’m sorry, because I never knew how much you loved me’ until now,” he said.
