Dec. 22 (UPI) — Bride-to-be Mandy Moore hopes to start a family in the near future.
The 33-year-old actress opened up in the January/February issue of Shape following her engagement to singer Taylor Goldsmith.
“My man and I found a house and are doing renovations,” Moore said of putting down roots with Goldsmith. “When we move, I’ll feel like I finally have a place to hang my hat.”
“We can set up the record player! I’ll know where my brown sweater is! And we can start a family, hopefully sooner than later, and establish our own traditions,” she added.
Moore, who split from husband Ryan Adams in 2015 after nearly six years of marriage, said her engagement to Goldsmith, new home and starring role on This is Us seem surreal.
“If you were to tell me two years ago that I’d be talking about my life in this way with you, I would have said that you were crazy,” she said. “My life has changed exponentially in that short time.”
Moore’s This is Us co-stars Chris Sullivan and Jon Huertas confirmed the actress’ engagement to Goldsmith in September. Huertas, who plays Miguel, told Entertainment Tonight he’s thrilled for the couple.
“I think it’s amazing. Good for her. I’m happy for her,” the actor said. “Taylor is an amazing guy. I love him so much. I love Mandy so much. I’m really happy that they’re going to be joining the club!”
Moore portrays Rebecca Pearson on This is Us, which is in its second season. The series co-stars Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz and Justin Hartley, and will return from midseason break Jan. 9 on NBC.
