Nov. 8 (UPI) — North Carolina authorities said they found a vehicle Thursday involved in the case of a missing teen girl, but not the girl.
Local police and the FBI are looking for 13-year-old Hania Noelia Aguilar, who disappeared from Lumberton, N.C., four days ago. An Amber Alert was sent, but officials have not yet found the child.
The green SUV was found not far from the girl’s home in Lumberton, officials said. An FBI team will do a forensic analysis that may reveal more clues.
The eighth-grader was last seen waiting for the rest of her family to emerge from their home Monday before they went to school. A neighbor called 911 to report she’d been kidnapped.
Hania is a Hispanic girl, 5 feet tall, 126 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. The FBI has offered a $15,000 reward in the case.
Investigators said they are now looking for surveillance camera video in the area to comb for clues.
