UTAH, May 9, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health on Sunday reported one more COVID-19 death and 232 new cases documented in the past day.
That brings the state’s confirmed coronavirus cases to 400,352, and deaths to 2,224.
The death was of a Salt Lake County man, between ages 45 and 64, who was hospitalized.
Vaccinations given number 2,307,037, which is 22,730 more than Saturday.
Lab tests have been given to 2,603,551 people, an increase of 3,558 since Saturday. Total tests given numberĀ 4,738,232 total tests, an increase of 6,510 tests since yesterday.
The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 336 per day.
The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “people over people” is 6.4%. The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “tests over tests” is 3.4%.
There are 139 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Total hospitalizations from the beginning of the outbreak are 16,361.
