Sept. 27 (UPI) — Beck Bennett has exited “Saturday Night Live” as the long-running sketch comedy show adds three new cast members.
Bennett confirmed his exit from “SNL” on Instagram Monday alongside behind-the-scenes photos from the show.
“Love you, ‘SNL.’ Gonna miss you so much. Thank you for 8 years of remarkable people and incredible experiences that completely changed my life. I had so much fun,” Bennett said.
“SNL” will be adding three new feature players including Aristotle Athari, James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman for Season 47, which will premiere on Oct. 2.
The full cast now includes Aidy Bryant, Michael Che, Pete Davidson, Mikey Day, Chloe Fineman, Heidi Gardner, Colin Jost, Kate McKinnon, Alex Moffat, Kyle Mooney, Ego Nwodim, Chris Redd, Cecily Strong, Kenan Thompson, Melissa Villaseñor and Bowen Yang while featuring Athari, Andrew Dismukes, James Austin Johnson, Punkie Johnson and Sherman.
Owen Wilson will be the first guest host to kick off Season 24 with Kacey Musgraves as the musical guest. Kim Kardashian and Halsey will then appear the following week on Oct. 9.
Rami Malek and Young Thug will then take over the Oct. 16 show followed by Jason Sudeikis and Brandi Carlile on Oct. 23.
