DUCHESNE COUNTY, Utah, April 23, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in gathering additional information on an accused child sex offender.
The agency shared a plea for assistance online Tuesday afternoon following the arrest of a Roosevelt man on child rape charges while he was awaiting trial on child pornography charges.
“On April 15, 2024 a search warrant was executed on the residence of Michael Hardinger of Roosevelt, Utah,” reads the release signed by Sheriff Travis L. Tucker.
“Mr. Hardinger was taken into custody on that date by detectives with the Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with rape of a child, and obstruction of justice. Mr. Hardinger is currently being held without bail in the Duchesne County Jail.
“At the time of his arrest Mr. Hardinger was on pre-trial, ankle-monitor release from the Duchesne County Jail on charges of possession of child pornography.
“The Duchesne County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance regarding information related to Mr. Hardinger’s ongoing cases.”
