TREMONTON, Utah, May 12, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Tremonton and Garland Fire crews were called to the scene of a structure fire Saturday.
The site was Tremonton’s Mack’s Family Drive-In, in operation for nearly 50 years, the business Facebook page says.
“At approximately 9:30 pm on May 11th, we were dispatched to a fire in the kitchen area at Mac’s Drive-In,” a Tremonton Fire news release says.
“Engine 31, Engine 32, Ladder 31 and several support vehicles as well as an engine from Garland responded.
“Crews found heavy smoke and fire immediately after entering the building. Crews were able to contain the fire to the one building. Unfortunately there was extensive damage to the inside of the building.”
The business was in operation at the time of the fire, the statement says.
“Thankfully all of the customers and employees were able to get out safely. The cause is still under investigation. Special thanks to our law enforcement officers who kept us safe by providing crowd and traffic control.”
