HEBER, Utah, July 6, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — An elderly cowboy bucked off his horse needed a helicopter transport to a hospital Friday night in Wasatch County.

The 80-year-old male was tossed by his ride in the Crooked Creek area east of Heber just after 6 p.m. Friday, Wasatch County Search and Rescue said online Friday night.

“The remoteness and the injuries involved required extraction via Airmed, University of Utah.”

Because of the remoteness of the area six miles from Heber, it took some time for searchers to reach the injured man, making for a total duration of an hour and a half for the rescue.
