Motorcyclist hits barrier, is thrown down embankment, suffers critical injuries in Morgan County

MORGAN COUNTY, Utah, July 30, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A motorcyclist who hit a road barrier Monday night was thrown from the bike and “flew over the rail and down the hill,” suffering life-threatening injuries.

The incident happened at about 9 p.m. near milepost 3 on Trappers Loop, a statement from Mountain Green Fire says.

“The motorcyclist landed about 60 feet down the embankment with life-threatening injuries,” it says.

“Mountain Green Fire crews hiked down with equipment to render aid.”

A Morgan County Fire & EMS ambulance took over patient care and transport to an area hospital, the statement says.

The Morgan County Sheriff‘s Office and Utah Highway Patrol also responded to the scene to assist.

No update is available on the patient’s condition.
