Washington Co. first responders rescue injured mountain biker

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah, Oct. 20, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Crews from multiple agencies responded Saturday morning when dispatch was alerted to an injured mountain biker.

They responded to the call shortly before 11 a.m. and responded to the scene, south of Virgin.

“Responders from Station 43, in coordination with the Washington County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue and Intermountain Life Flight arrived at the scene,” says a statement issued by Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue.

“Working together, they quickly located the patient, provided stabilization, and transported the patient via helicopter to St. George Regional Hospital.

“We greatly appreciate the teamwork and dedication of our partner agencies, which allow us to deliver exceptional service to both residents and visitors in our area.”
