Cottonwood Heights Police respond to fatal vehicle fire at Santa Fe Apartments

COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah, Nov. 13, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Cottonwood Heights Police Department responded to a deadly vehicle fire late Tuesday night at the Santa Fe Apartments.

At approximately 11 p.m., CWHPD officers arrived at 6986 S. La Rosa Court and found a vehicle with a man inside engulfed in flames in the apartment complex’s parking lot.

CWHPD Sgt. Soakai told Gephardt Daily a crew from the Unified Fire Authority arrived and extinguished the fire.

Preliminary findings indicate the fire was accidental in nature, but no further details were released.

The identity of the deceased victim has not yet been made public.

Further information will be shared as the investigation progresses, Soakai said.

“CWHPD continues to work closely with fire officials and forensic investigators to gather more details.”
