CACHE COUNTY, Utah, Nov. 19, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Highway Patrol has released additional details about a fatal collision Monday evening in Cache County.
The incident happened at about 6:10 p.m..
“A Ford pickup was southbound on US-91 at milepost 40,” the news release says.
“Initial investigation indicates that the Ford crossed into the northbound lanes. A red pickup was northbound and swerved in an attempt to avoid the collision but was struck on the right/passenger side. The Ford continued into the northbound lanes and struck a northbound Dodge truck in the front-left driver’s corner. A fourth vehicle was northbound and was struck by debris.”
The driver of the Ford was transported to the hospital in serious condition, the release says. The driver and passengers of the red truck were uninjured.
“The adult male driver of the Dodge was killed in the collision, and his passenger (wife) was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries. The driver and passengers of vehicle #4 were uninjured. All persons involved were wearing seatbelts except the deceased driver. US-91 was closed during the investigation.”
This crash is still under investigation, and these details are preliminary, the release added.
