SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Dec. 19, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A Salt Lake City police officer escaped injury overnight when his patrol vehicle was struck by an impaired driving suspect.
“While investigating a drug problem at 140 North 800 West, a suspected impaired driver crashed into an officer’s car,” the SLCPD reported in an early morning post on social media.
“The officer is not hurt.”
Police reported finding alleged drug paraphernalia inside the suspect’s vehicle.
The suspect was taken to the hospital by paramedics for treatment of what police called “minor injuries.”
