STRAWBERRY RESERVOIR, Utah, Aug. 31, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — A lone boater who went overboard was rescued from Strawberry Reservoir late last week.

Wasatch County Search & Rescue was summoned to the scene at about 11:52 a.m. Friday.

“A 911 caller (a shore fisherman) reported a person in the water screaming for help,” says a news release issued by Wasatch County S&R.

“His boat was too far away to swim to. He was the only person on this boat when he went overboard. This person did not have a life jacket on.

“First responders from Wasatch County Search & Rescue, Wasatch County Sheriff‘s Office and Wasatch Fire responded to assist.

“Special thanks to Strawberry Bay Marina & Lodge, who dispatched a boat quickly and were able to rescue the swimmer in the water.

“Thanks to the shore fisherman that were paying attention.”
