1 injured, property damage found after report of shots fired in Ogden

OGDEN, Utah, June 1, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — One person was taken to a hospital and property damage was found following a shooting Saturday afternoon.

Officers responded about 1:30 p.m. to a report of shots fired at 123 N. Harrisville Road, the Ogden City Police Department said in a news release.

One person sustained injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening and was taken to a hospital prior to officers’ arrival, according to police.

“Officers recovered a firearm at the scene and identified some property damage,” the release says.

No arrests were reported, but police say several “persons of interest and victims have been identified.”

“The public should be aware that the involved parties were known to each other, that this is an isolated incident, and that there is no danger to the public,” the release says.

Police have obtained video evidence from the incident, though anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to call 801-395-8221.

“We want to thank the surrounding agencies that have assisted in this investigation and the local businesses that have provided information that allows us to identify the persons of interest in this case,” the release says.
