2 seriously injured when roof collapses in Weber County

WEBER COUNTY, Utah, June 9, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Two people were injured Sunday evening when a roof collapsed in Weber County.

Crews from several agencies were dispatched about 6:30 p.m. to Evergreen Park and found two people in serious condition, including one who became pinned in the collapse, the Weber Fire District said on social media.

“The crew quickly and successfully extricated the pinned patient,” the post says. “Both patients were then secured and transferred to waiting medical helicopters for transport to area hospitals.”

The cause of the roof collapse is under investigation, officials said.

The Ogden City Fire Department, Weber County Sheriff’s Office, Intermountain Life Flight and AirMed also responded to assist.
