SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Dec. 5, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – The Musicians of the Utah Symphony (MOTUS) are presenting four winter musical “nightlife” events at local bars and restaurants.
Each show will feature classical music performed by musicians who currently play in the Utah Symphony. The events will begin at 9 p.m. and are performed in roughly twenty-minute-long sets, with an introduction for each set given by the musicians. There is a cash-only cover charge of $10 for each show, payable at the door.
The performances will be held as follows:
- December 11, 2015– Under Current
- January 15, 2016– O’Shucks Pinebrook
- March 11, 2016– Red Door
- May 6, 2016– Finca
The December 2015 event includes repertoire by Mozart, Paganini, Muhly, Ysaye, and Schubert, performed by ten Utah Symphony musicians, including Principal Cello Rainer Eudeikis, Associate Concertmaster Kathryn Eberle, Principal Viola Brant Bayless, and Principal Flute Mercedes Smith.
