May 10 (UPI) — Glenn Howerton’s NBC pilot “A.P. Bio” has been ordered to series.

The network released the first photo of Howerton’s teacher character in a classroom full of students on Monday.

The series from writer Mike O’Brien and executive producers Seth Meyers and Lorne Michaels is expected to debut in the 2017-18, television season, Variety said.

The sitcom follows a philosophy scholar forced to work as a high school, advanced-placement, biology teacher after he loses his dream job.

Howerton is best known for writing, producing and co-starring in the dark comedy “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” which began its 12-season run in 2005.
