EDINBURGH, Scotland, Aug. 10 (UPI) — J.K. Rowling would sooner see Harry Potter on ice than a television show set in the young wizard’s magical world.
While taking questions on Twitter about how the American wizarding world will work in the upcoming Potter spin-off film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the author ruled out any possibility of a TV series happening.
When a fan asked if a show was on the horizon, Rowling jokingly tweeted back “Right after the opera, Potter-on-ice and the interpretative dance version of Beedle the Bard #NotActuallyHappening.”
The thought of Potter-on-ice seemed to excite fans who tweeted their support. The bestselling author responded, “To all those begging for Potter-on-Ice: the image of Ice Voldemort performing the triple salchow will haunt my dreams tonight. #sick.”
“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” will meet the silver screen in 2016.
