Aug. 28 (UPI) — Mark Zuckerberg has welcomed his second child with wife Priscilla Chan.

The 33-year-old Facebook founder shared a family portrait and a sweet message to newborn daughter August on Monday.

“Priscilla and I are so happy to welcome our daughter August! We wrote her a letter about the world we hope she grows up in, and also hoping she doesn’t grow up too fast,” he wrote on Facebook.

Zuckerberg and Chan share their hopes for a “magical” and carefree childhood for August in the note. The couple penned a similar message for their daughter Max following her birth in November 2015.

“The world can be a serious place. That’s why it’s important to make time to go outside and play,” the pair wrote to August.

“Childhood is magical,” they explained. “You only get to be a child once, so don’t spend it worrying too much about the future. You’ve got us for that, and we’ll do everything we possibly can to make sure the world is a better place for you and all children in your generation.”

“August, we love you so much and we’re so excited to go on this adventure with you,” the couple added. “We wish you a life of joy, love and the same hope you give us.”

Zuckerberg and Chan pledged to donate 99 percent of their Facebook shares to charity in the coming decades after Max’s birth. Zuckerberg co-founded the company in 2004 and remains as CEO, but will take paternity leave to help care for August.

“I’m planning to take two months of paternity leave again,” he announced in a Facebook post Aug. 18. “I’ll take a month off to be with Priscilla and the girls at the beginning, and then we’ll spend the whole month of December together as well.”

“I’m looking forward to bonding with our little one and taking Max on adventures,” he said before joking, “I’m pretty sure the office will be standing when I get back.”
