LOS ANGELES, Calif., Jan. 28, 2016 (UPI) — NBC announced Thursday who will be joining new host Arnold Schwarzenegger in the upcoming eighth season of The Celebrity Apprentice.
On the advisor side, Schwarzenegger will be joined by business heavyweightsWarren Buffet, Tyra Banks, Jessica Alba and Steve Balmer.
Schwarzenegger’s nephew, entertainment attorney Patrick Knapp Schwarzenegger will also help the actor and former Governor of California decide which contestant goes home at the end of every episode.
Athletes, musicians and reality stars make up the 16 contenders vying for the grand prize of a $250,000 check for the charity of their choice including Laila Ali, Brooke Burke-Charvet, Eric Dickerson, Boy George, Matt Iseman, Carrie Keagan, Carson Kressley, Lisa Leslie, Jon Lovitz, Vince Neil, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Kyle Richards, Chael Sonnen, Porsha Williams, Ricky Williams and Carnie Wilson.
Schwarzenegger was announced as Donald Trump‘s replacement in September after Trump launched his GOP presidential campaign and following NBC cutting ties with the hotel mogul after controversial remarks he made regarding immigrants.
“I have always been a huge fan of The Celebrity Apprentice and the way it showcases the challenges and triumphs of business and teamwork,” Schwarzenegger said at the time. “I am thrilled to bring my experience to the boardroom and to continue to raise millions for charity. Let’s get started!”
With Schwarzenegger taking over, changes are coming to the competition series including a move from New York to Los Angeles with a heavy emphasis on technology and innovation.
NBC has yet to set a premiere date, but the reality series is expected to return sometime in the 2016-17 TV season.
