July 25 (UPI) — “Riverdale” stars Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart appear to be dating in real life.
The 24-year-old actor and 20-year-old actress, who play love interests Jughead and Betty on The CW series, were linked this week after they were spotted kissing and getting close at San Diego Comic-Con.
People reported Reinhart was seen wearing Sprouse’s blazer at the Entertainment Weekly San Diego Comic-Con bash Saturday. She and Sprouse were later seen “canoodling, holding hands and kissing.”
Sources told E! News Sprouse and Reinhart “could not keep their hands off of one another” at the party. Insiders said the pair “were very open with their PDA” after keeping their distance at a different bash Friday.
“[Lili] always had her eye on where Cole was,” a source said of Friday’s event. “[They were] briefly talking closely by the pool. They weren’t showing any obvious PDA, [but it looked like] something was going on.”
Riverdale, which is based on characters by Archie Comics, will return for a second season in October. KJ Apa co-stars as Archie, with Camila Mendes as Veronica, Marisol Nichols as Hermione and Ashleigh Murray as Josie.
“Jughead is placed in the middle of two worlds that are starting to collide and really erupt,” Sprouse said of Season 2 at Riverdale’s Comic-Con panel, according to PopSugar. “As the season progresses, it’s gonna start forcing him to really pick a side, which is a dangerous place for him to be in.”
“That’s gonna have huge repercussions for his narrative and his relationships,” he added. “[Jughead and Betty] get tested. His character is now very much the outsider.”
