Aug. 12 (UPI) — Salma Hayek recently played chef at a dinner party with Ryan Reynolds and his family.
The 50-year-old actress shared a photo Thursday with Reynolds and his daughter Inez from a night at the actor and his wife Blake Lively‘s house.
“When your friends invite you for dinner and you end up doing all the work #hitmansbodyguard #ryanreynolds #tbt,” she captioned the picture on Instagram.
Hayek and Reynolds will co-star in the new film “The Hitman’s Bodyguard,” which opens in theaters Aug. 18. The actress previously co-starred with Lively in a 2012 adaptation of the Don Winslow novel “Savages.”
“Now that I’m older, I don’t get [the sexy sidekick roles] as much,” she said of her “Hitman’s Bodyguard” character in the spring issue of DuJour.
“I did my own stunts,” the star confirmed. “They said, ‘We have a stunt double, and some of the things are quite hard.’ And I said, well, let’s give it a try.’ And guess what? I can still kick really high! Mind you, the next morning I was full of bruises and I couldn’t move for two weeks but, man, did I show off that day!”
Reynolds and Lively share 10-month-old Inez and 2-year-old daughter James, while Hayek is parent to 9-year-old daughter Valentina with husband Francois-Henri Pinault. The actress told DuJour her family comes first over her career.
“I just take it one day at a time, I don’t do strategy,” she said. “The most important thing in my life is my family, easily. I’ve never been away from my daughter for more than two weeks. Sometimes I do a movie [just] because I like the people.”
“The Hitman’s Bodyguard” co-stars Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman and Elodie Yung. Hayek will also star in “Drunk Parents” with Alec Baldwin, while Reynolds is slated for “Deadpool 2.”
