LOS ANGELES, Sept. 23 (UPI) — Selena Gomez released a sultry music video for new song “Same Old Love” on Tuesday.
The video, directed by Michael Haussman, sees the 23-year-old singer reflect on relationships before rejecting heartbreak and embracing her fans at her real-life special performance at the Palace Theatre.
“This is a new chapter for me,” the star said at the event last week. “I’m sure most of you know that. You guys have been the most consistent thing in my life and my career. This is all for you.”
“Same Old Love” was written by Charli XCX, and is the second single to debut from Gomez’s forthcoming second studio album, Revival. The record is scheduled to debut Oct. 9, and will also include the track “Good for You.”
Gomez released Stars Dance in July 2013, which topped the Billboard 200 and includes the singles “Come & Get It” and “Slow Down.” The singer and actress last appeared in Rudderless, and is slated for The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving with Paul Rudd.
