LOS ANGELES, Calif., Dec. 15, 2015 (UPI) — “The Force Awakens,” the eight installment of the “Star Wars” saga, premiered in Los Angeles Monday night with appearances from the franchise’s old and new stars.

Lourd will play an unidentified role in the forthcoming film, but the character won’t be the daughter of Fisher’s Princess Leia.

The event reunited the stars from the original Star Wars films and the protagonists of the new film.
