October 8, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – “The Incredibles 2,” the long-awaited sequel to Disney/disney Pixar’s hit animated film, finally has a release date.
Pixar announced the “The Incredibles 2,” which will be written and directed by Brad Bird again would hit theaters in summer of 2019. On June 21 to be exact.
Last March in Anaheim, a sequel was announced at Disney’s annual D23 Conference to a thundering applause.
“The Incredibles,” which starred the vocal talents of Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter and Samuel L. Jackson hit theaters in 2004. The animated film had audiences hoping for more adventures. There was even talk of an “Incredibles” animated series for the Disney Channel.
There are more sequels coming for other animated favorites, as Pixar announced “Cars 3” will now be released on June 16, 2017 and “Toy Story 4” is hitting theaters June 15, 2018.
Pixar’s “Finding Dory,” the sequel to “Finding Nemo,”which will reunite Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks, will be released June 17, 2016.
