SANPETE COUNTY, Utah, Sept. 27, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — One man is dead and another seriously injured after a one-vehicle rollover in Mt. Pleasant Canyon.
Two men in a utility terrain vehicle were driving up Mt. Pleasant Canyon Thursday morning when the vehicle went off the road for unknown reasons, according to the Utah Division State Parks.
Neither man was wearing a helmet and only one had a seat belt on when the UTV rolled several times, said Eric Stucki, a state parks public information officer.
One man was declared deceased at the scene, he said, and the other flown by a Life Flight medical chopper to Utah Valley Hospital.
Both required a helicopter hoist for retrieval from the wreckage.
No other vehicle was involved.
