SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, March 20, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — An altercation between two employees of a downtown bar and restaurant Tuesday night ended with one employee stabbing the other.
Officers booked Austin Graff-Liley, 24, into jail for aggravated assault, according to a news release from the Salt Lake City Police Department.
Lt. Justin Hudson, SLCPD, said the stabbing occurred at about 7:30 p.m., when two male employees of Whiskey Street, 323 S. Main St., got into an argument on a topic unknown to police.
“The argument ended and then a short time later the suspect came up behind the victim, while he was washing dishes, and stabbed him in the lower back with a fillet knife,” the news release said. “Other employees detained the suspect until officers arrived.”
The victim was transported to an area hospital is serious condition.
