13-year-old breaks Utah golden trout angling record set 42 years ago

UINTAS, Utah, Oct. 17, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A 13-year-old boy now holds the Utah golden trout angling record (catch and keep), Utah Division of Wildlife Resources announced Thursday.

“RECORD FISH: Congratulations to 13-year-old Isaac Vance who now holds the new golden trout angling record in Utah!” said a tweet from the Utah DWR. “This 14-incher broke the 1977 record and was caught at Marsh Lake in the high Uintas.”

The trout weighs one pound and 2.88 ounces and is 14 and 7/8 inches long with a girth of 7 and 3/4 inches.
