SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah, May 8, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking a man with an apparently fresh new residential credit card scam.

“Multiple agencies are currently attempting to identify the male in these photographs,” the Unified Police Department of Greater Salt Lake said in a Wednesday post that includes photos of the suspect and his vehicle.

“The individual is claiming to be a Wells Fargo employee and stating he is at victims’ residences to pick up their credit cards and will mail them new ones.”

Later, the man makes charges on the collected cards, the police statement says.

“Please if you come in contact with this individual or can identify him, Unified Police is asking to call us with information. Please call into UPD dispatch at 801-840-4000 or call Detective Fenton at 385-468-9319. Thank you.”
