TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, Dec. 6, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Two men are in custody after an overnight raid of a suspected drug house, which was subsequently closed by the Salt Lake County Health Department for meth contamination.
A SWAT team served a search warrant on the residence, at 2412 W. Hardrock Dr., Taylorsville, Sgt. Melody Gray, Unified Police Department, told Gephardt Daily.
“There was an ongoing narcotics investigation,” she said. “The residence was searched, and officers located firearms, heroin, and methamphetamine. The Health Department closed the house for meth.”
Kerry Dan Crosby, 62, was booked on suspicion of possession with intent to distribute c/substance, a first-degree felony; and possession of a controlled substance, schedule 1/2/analog, a third-degree felony.
Crosby, who has previous drug convictions, is being held on $25,000 bail.
His probable cause statement says Crosby was contacted after the search warrant was executed.
“Crosby was found to have tested positive for meth on his person, and distributable qualities of field-tested-positive for heroin (were found) in his bedroom at the residence, along with packing materials and digital scales consistent with distribution. Other individuals at the residence indicated that Crosby was distributing narcotics.”

His bail was set at $5,000.
Holt was found to be in possession for a substance that field-tested positive for meth, his probable cause statement says.
“Holt admitted, post-Miranda, to being a regular user of methamphetamine and heroin, and that he used both earlier that day,” the statement says. “A bedroom identified as Holt’s was found to contain a .22 caliber revolver, a .22 caliber rifle and a 9mm handgun, one of which was listed as stolen out of Midvale.
“Holt is a restricted person who is prohibited from possessing dangerous weapons, including firearms. Hold admitted, post-Miranda, to suspecting that the handgun was stolen. Field-tested positive LSD was also located in Holt’s bedroom.”
