MURRAY, Utah, Feb. 26, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Murray and Unified Police officials chased a suspect reportedly driving a stolen BMW on Monday afternoon, and before it was over, the incident involved the crash of a UPD vehicle, spikes, a foot chase, and officers pulling two suspects off a UTA bus.

Officers stopped two people in the stolen car at about 2 p.m. near 5200 South and Redwood Road, according to Lt. Brian Lohrke, Unified Police Department.

A chase ensued, and police spiked the vehicle. At some point, a UPD vehicle collided with a Salt Lake County van. No one was seriously injured in the collision.

The suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

The two suspects boarded a bus, Lohrke said. Officers stopped the bus at 7000 South and Redwood Road, and took the two, a male and a female, into custody.
