MIDVALE, Utah, March 21, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Unified police are asking for the public’s help locating a suspect after an aggravated robbery at a Phillips 66 in Midvale Sunday.
Officers from the Midvale Precinct were dispatched to a robbery at the Phillips 66 located at 8370 S. State St. at approximately 1:30 p.m., the UPD said in a news release Wednesday.
“The lone suspect approached the clerk, pointed a firearm directly at her and demanded cash,” the news release said. “After obtaining the cash he fled the business.”
The suspect was observed getting into a dark-colored sedan with a bumper that appeared to be falling off. Detectives believe the vehicle to be a Honda Civic or similar vehicle. The vehicle was last seen heading west on Princeton Avenue.
He is described as Caucasian, in mid 30s, heavy set, with a short scruffy auburn-colored goatee or beard. He was wearing a camouflage jacket, that possibly said Newman Construction on back, black gloves and khaki colored pants.
Detectives from the UPD Violent Crimes Unit and FBI Violent Crimes Task Force are actively investigating this case. Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at 385-468-9819.
