Around 1,000 Customers Lose Service After Dump Truck Takes Down Comcast Cable Line

Dump Truck Takes Down Comcast Cable Line

MILLCREEK, UTAH – October 20, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Around 1,000 customers are without Comcast internet and TV service in Millcreek after a dump truck took down cable lines.

It’s estimated connections will be restored by 9 p.m. Tuesday. But a traffic light arm that was also brought down by the bed of the dump truck that was lifted by mistake may take a couple of days to replace.

Unified Police Department spokesman Lt. Lex Bell said the incident began late afternoon Tuesday as a dump truck driver was heading west on Highland at 3300 South when the hydraulics engaged and lifted the bed. As the driver went to turn northbound onto Highland, the bed of the truck snagged cable lines and also pulled down the arm holding the traffic lights.

We will have more on this developing story as it becomes available.
