SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Feb. 4, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — At least two people have been critically injured in a multi-vehicle crash near 1300 South and 650 West in Salt Lake City.
First responders from multiple jurisdictions were called to the scene just after 6 a.m. Monday amid reports that victims were trapped inside their vehicles.
A vehicle was traveling eastbound on 1300 South when the vehicle went into oncoming traffic and struck a second vehicle traveling westbound on 1300 South, the Salt Lake City Police Department said in a news release.
The occupants of vehicle number one had to be extricated and were transported to an area hospital in critical condition, the news release said. The driver of vehicle number one was processed for DUI, officials said.
The occupant of vehicle number two had minor injuries and did not require treatment.
