TOOELE CITY, Utah, July 19, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) – The Tooele City Police Department says a bicyclist, believed to be a male in his late 50s, was killed early Friday afternoon after a collision near 975 N. Main Street.

According to accounts from the scene, the man was riding his bike on Main St. about 1:20 p.m. when he was struck by a dump truck as it pulled out of the parking lot of a nearby 7-Eleven.

“Southbound traffic was closed for about two and a half hours while we investigated this matter but is now completely open. This is still an active investigation in its early stages,” the TCPD post said.
