OGDEN, Utah, April 12, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Ogden courts were evacuated Thursday afternoon after the second bomb threat in one week, officials said.

Ogden Police Department tweeted that a bomb threat was received at 1:11 p.m., but no specific address for the court was given. The district, juvenile and justice courts were all advised.

Bomb-sniffing dogs were called in to search the buildings.

An all-clear was given by police at 3:30 p.m., Geoffrey Fattah, the Utah State Court public information officer tweeted.

“Court will resume all functions, including hearings for in-custody defendants,” Fattah tweeted.

Weber County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.

Ogden’s Justice Court and 2nd District Court were also closed one week ago, April 5, after a bomb threat was received.

The courthouses were evacuated just after 9 a.m., Fattah tweeted. Just before noon, Ogden Police Department tweeted the buildings were clear and they were no longer dealing with an active incident.

“Detectives and Crime Center tracking leads on caller,” a tweet from the OPD added at that time. “Thanks for the allied agency assists.”
