WEST VALLEY CITY – August 17, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Police have identified the two people found dead inside a West Valley City home near 3500 South Park Vista Drive.
According to the West Valley Police Department, officers were called to the scene around 5:30 a.m. Monday.
Officers found Francisco Javier Tapia had allegedly shot and killed his wife, Monica Tapia, before turning the gun on himself. Both of the deceased were 51 years old.
A search warrant for the home where the two were found was authorized around 3:45 p.m., and forensic analysts are processing the scene.
The cause for the murder-suicide is unknown at this time.
