WEST JORDAN, Utah, July 5, 2024 — Police from multiple agencies are on the scenes of a Friday night officer-involved critical incident in West Jordan which encompasses two locations just blocks apart.
Initial reports, yet to be confirmed, indicate an alleged suspect in a domestic violence call shot at an arriving officer or officers in the vicinity 7900 S. 1300 West.
That incident reportedly led to a chase which ended near 9000 S. 1300 West, after which the suspect was taken to a nearby hospital.
The cause and extent of the alleged suspect’s injuries were not revealed.
It is unclear if the suspect was fired on by police.
At 9 p.m. West Jordan PD said on X, formerly Twitter, they were preparing to meet with reporters for a briefing on the “officer involved critical incident.”
