PARK CITY, Utah, July 29, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A bull moose cooling his hooves near a busy Park City roadway this weekend found himself the recipient of a free surprise trip to rural Utah.

The one-way trip was courtesy of the Utah Division of Wildlife Services.

“A bull moose was hanging out too close to busy roads in Park City last week,” the Utah DWR statement says.

“Luckily, we were able to safely relocate him to better moose habitat in central Utah.”

The prize package began with a relaxing tranquilizer dart, served up by a trained marksman, followed by a free lift to a transport trailer, then a roadtrip to an undisclosed location in exotic rural Utah.

“We’d like to give a big thank you to the Park City Police Department for your help with crowd and traffic control, and the volunteers who helped carry the moose into the trailer!” the DWR statement says.
