KANARRAVILLE, Utah, April 22, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A Cedar City man is dead after a single-vehicle accident Saturday morning near Kanarraville.
Daniel A. Jones, 29, was driving a 2003 red Chevrolet Avalanche northbound on Interstate 15 at about 6 a.m. Saturday when the vehicle drifted left, according to information from the Utah Highway Patrol.
Jones over-corrected to the right, and the vehicle rolled an estimated three times, ejecting the driver.
The UHP investigation revealed that Jones was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
Jones was declared dead at the scene as crews were preparing to transport him to a hospital by medical helicopter.
Impairment is being investigated as a possible contributing factor to the accident.
