TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, June 6, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Police say the driver of a cement truck lost control, crashed into the center barrier and stopped traffic Thursday morning on Interstate 215.

The crash occurred about 10:30 a.m. on northbound I-215 near 4500 South, sending debris into the southbound lanes, Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cameron Roden told Gephardt Daily.

Two other vehicles also were involved but sustained only minor damage, Roden said. No injuries were reported.

The crash resulted in traffic delays in both directions. The cement truck was leaking fuel, hydraulic fluid and oil in the northbound lanes, Roden said.

Gephardt Daily will update this story as more information becomes available.
