OGDEN, Utah, April 2, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A fire at an Ogden home that began in the chimney caused $80,000 in damages Sunday morning.
Crews responded to the structure fire in the area of 1835 E. 21st St. just before 9 a.m., according to tweets from Ogden Fire Department.
Seventeen firefighters from the Ogden City Fire Department responded with two ladders, one engine, one ambulance and one paramedic squad, and crews were able to extinguish the fire in approximately 25 minutes.
According to officials, the fire spread from the chimney into the attic.
The incident displaced two residents, but Red Cross Utah wasn’t needed, the tweets said, and no one was injured.
