CLEARFIELD, Utah, Aug. 17, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — In a hopeful, bittersweet at best anniversary post, Clearfield police are asking for the public’s help locating Tina Jones, now missing for a year.

“Help us locate Tina Jones!” reads the Friday announcement online, a year to the day Jones was last seen.

“Tina has been missing for one year, and we need the community’s help to find her. She was last seen in Clearfield on August 16, 2023, walking near the Center Street Bridge with no belongings.”

Jones is listed with the National Crime Information Center as a missing and endangered person due to mental illness, police said. “Please share this and contact the Clearfield Police Department with any leads at 801-525-2800.”

She is described as now 53, 5-foot-5, 180 pounds with blue eyes and short brown hair. Often homeless, living at shelters, she was staying with a friend at the Clearfield Junction Apartments when she disappeared, according to family, the friend contacting family when she went missing.

A gofundme page “Help Us Find Tina Jones” appears dormant. It references the hire of a private investigator, with the last donation logged 11 months ago.

But a Facebook “Friends and Family of Tina Marie Jones” page remains active.
